Since the beginning of the project, several meetings were held in Maniago (PN) and Feltre (BL) to allow the team to gather information on renewable energy sources, technologies and energy systems available in the relevant areas and to assess the feasibility of using biomass as energy carrier. As to the Austrian partner, the last cross-border meeting held in Salzburg highlighted that there is a tool available to collect and map data on buildings and energy producing systems in urban areas, which is essential for the continuation of the project. Finally, the actions to be implemented were debated and validated. These actions include: data collection, establishing new contact with local government authorities to define project-related initiatives, the development of thematic maps, the identification of the best energy solutions, the estimation of the cost of possible actions. All that will be conveyed into the integrated framework for planning energy systems.
